So I’m sitting in the lobby checking my phone for messages in the free wifi area. It seem as if Wifi has become the most important deciding factor in booking accommodation in the tourism sector. Having access to mobile hotspot on our cellphone data plan, not a bad thing if you have it. Accommodation facilities shouldn't force people pay for wifi because it allows visitors to share content about your facility and boost tourism. It is in fact a marketing tool for hosting as well.

In NYC, they have replaced all these with tall, rectangular boxes that offer free wifi, internet surfing, phone calls, train timetables, etc. It's pretty cool. I don't think they'd do it in less dense cities though, because they wouldn't be able to support the cost.
